Organised by The Definitive(ly) Good Guide Co – publishers of The Definitive(ly) Good Guide to Restaurants in Malta & Gozo and The Malta Baby and Kids directory, the intention is to hold the market once a month on a Sunday. The market is set to be a meeting place to meet friends and will be very family friendly with live music at the opening event.  This market will appeal to local residents, local yacht owners berthed in the marina, tourists visiting Birgu as well as people from other parts of Malta who will be able ‘make a day of it’ -  visit the market, eat and socialise there. As well as visit the market they could visit the local attractions or visit one of the restaurants or one of the many local historic attractions.
Lisa Grech organiser of the Malta Artisan Market Vittoriosa and Managing Director of The Definitive(ly) Good Guide Co said of this new market concept “In our continual quest with The Definitive(ly) Good Guide to Restaurants in Malta & Gozo to further promote the quality food product and good eating we feel that a market such as this will be an excellent selling point for enterprising individuals who are creating delicious delicacies with local seasonal products. Similarly the market would serve also as an excellent showcase for local artists and craftspeople who are creating unique pieces”.
The Malta Artisan Market Vittoriosa would like to be able to assist these enterprising people who are often put off with the bureaucracy and hope to be able to support them and encourage their enthusiasm and talent.
Visitors to the market are in the chance to win free meals for 2 people at Da Pippo’s, Il-Veduta and Paranga at the InterContinental Malta.
