Bulgarian President Mr Georgi Parvanov visited the City of Birgu during his state visit in Malta


On Tuesday 20th October, 2009, the Bulgarian President, His Excellency Mr Georgi Parvanov and his wife, accompanied by a number of high ranking officials of the Bulgarian government , as well as the Bulgarian Ambassador to Malta, Mr Atanos Mladenov and Minister John Dalli, during his state visit to Malta, visited the Maritime City of Birgu.

His Excellency Mr Georgi Parvanov, was greeted by the Mayor, Mr John Boxall, at Couvre Porte where an exchange of gifts was made.

The President accompanied by Minister John Dalli , the Mayor, Mr John Boxall and his delegation, was taken to a tour on foot round the City of Birgu and the Collacchio area, and then proceeded to the Vittoriosa Waterfront from where they were taken on a tour round the Grand Harbour.
