On Sunday 31st May, 2009, the Vittoriosa Stars Youth Football Nursery, organised a 7-a-side under 8 "RESPECT" football festival at the "De la Salle" football grounds.

The Committee firmly believes that every child has the right to enjoy sport in a fun, safe environment but sadly sometimes over enthusiastic parents and carerrs can often create an atmoshpere where a child is fearful of making mistakes. This often means that they turn their back on football and the vital healthy lifestyles it cultivates at an early stage.

The Vittoriosa Stars Youth Football Nursery has been recently re-launched after a stop of a number of years. This nursery was originally set up in 1993 by Vittoriosa's present Mayor, Mr John Boxall, who is still actively assisting the new Committee to steer the Nursery towards a renewed success. This process is being mentored by the Vittoriosa born and renowned premier league goalkeeper, Mr Saviour Darmanin.
